The Dream Room Project

Every child needs a place where:
  The moon still glows,
      The stars still twinkle,
          The magic is still alive,
              Even in the darkest times.

The Dream Room (La Salla De Los Suenos) Project exists to bring joy and hope to the youth of tomorrow – one room at a time. Through art and collaboration, children and youth who are experiencing a traumatic event in their lives have the opportunity to shine some light on a dark time.


We believe having a safe place to feel comfort can help a child heal from the pain of a traumatic experience and face the future with strength. We bring together artists and trades people to create murals and bedroom furnishings to transform a child’s bedroom into a magical space of healing. We collaborate with the child and encourage them to take an active role in every step of the process to ensure their dream room becomes a everything they need to dream of a bright and positive future.

“When a young family member was diagnosed with cancer, the illness took its toll on the entire family. To help fill the empty and often painful hours between treatments, the child and I took the dream of a mural on her/his bedroom wall and transformed it into a room that brought joy and seemed to lighten the tremendous burden the family carried. It inspired me to create The Dream Room Project.”

How to Donate

The Dream Room is a not-for-profit organization that relies on volunteers and the generosity of others to make children’s dreams come true.

We are always in need of funds and supplies so any assistance is greatly appreciated.

Estudio Luna, our proud founding sponsor, is a vagabond gallery with artists from all over the globe. It’s a place where collaboration is encouraged, new projects are constantly being developed and creativity is the one and only thing.

Our passion is to share the gift of art that we’ve been given to those who can benefit from it.

Any child or youth who has experienced abuse, a life threatening illness, a chronic diagnosis, loss of a loved one, divorce or any other traumatic event in their lives is eligible, so if you know a child who would benefit from having their dream room become a reality, please contact us.
